 ITDA Group Unique Certification Process

The ITDA Group Certification process is unique in the diving industry as being a two stage process, assessment and evaluation. Your instructor is tasked with making 100% sure that you will be a SAFE and Competent Diver as well as a "Competent Dive Buddy"...

Your role is very simple, just learn the theory to the best of your ability and perform the skills as tasked to the best of your ability and your instructor will guide you through the process to become an ITDA Group "Certified Diver".

ITDA Group training is both academic and skills based and therefore you will be assessed and evaluated in both these areas before grading....

Your Instructor is also your tutor and may even become your mentor.  Your ITDA Group Training materials will give you all of the information you will need to pass the quizzes and assessments, and your instructor will train you to perform the required safety standards skills to a level of personal "Comfort", you will only need to follow their directions to complete certification training.

If you have specific problems with skills, then the instructor may assign a dive leader to help you to practice until you can achieve the required standard.

 

 Your instructor may also limit your certification or require you to take additional training before being fully certified, but 97%+ of students are able to make pass grades at all levels from first try... 

 

Issuing ITDA Group Certifications (Policy)

Any qualified and current status ITDA Group Professional or IHMP Instructor and above may issue ITDA Group International and IHMP Certifications which will include: A Security Sealed ID Card, with Name, date of birth and ITDA Group reference number. The card should also have the level certified to, and any restrictions... With also Instructor's name & number, and the Dive Centre (As applicable).

Applications for certification: should be be completed at the end of your training program and received by a Regional Office or HQ within 7-10 days... All certifications are processed with 48hrs. (Of receipt). You should wait no longer then 28 days for your ITDA / IHMP Certification card.   Dive Centres and Instructors may issue a 60 day... Temporary card on request (Sometimes for a small fee $)

ITDA Group International - CARD SECURITY

 

 The ID cards issued have a unique member number for each card and a Holographic security seal... This process is unique to ITDA Group.


A new security process is being developed for 2010 with a holographic sticker system, news will be posted on our News Page when this is launched...

 

 

Cards lost or stolen?

MUST be reported as soon as possible (24-48hrs) by Email to: admin@itdagroup.net We will send you a replacement card form... Cost is $25.00 USD Including Postage (land Mail)...

 

Problems with Certifications:

 

1. My Card Did not arrive? What should I do?


Please contact us and we will find out what the problem is on your behalf... admin@itdagroup.net  or members@itdagroup.net (if you are a current member of ITDA Group International. Please use the number on your card as a ref...)

 

2. The Information on my card is incorrect?

We make every possible effort to ensure this does not happen but in the unlikely event that it does, please contact us (click Here!) and we will investigate.

If we find that our admin has made a mistake we will issue a new card without fee (FREE OF CHARGE), immediately.

If however you have made a mistake on completing your form there will be a charge of $25.00USD for a replacement card....

3. My Certificate has been lost or Damaged?

We can replace any certificate for you, but you will need your ITDA Ref Number...  The cost is just $9.99 (plus postage at cost) for current ITDA Group Members or $14.99 for non current members.
