Selecting Dive Equipment

There are hundreds of dive equipment manufactures around the World and about 70%+ all use the same OEM Manufactures in Asia / China.

We have a collective experience of tens of thousands of hours diving and have at some time over the last ten years as an Agency had our instructors and trainers use almost every equipment manufacturer Worldwide.

Plus our pedigree in commercial diving and access to professional diving equipment normally deemed too expensive for the general public, used only the Oil and Gas Offshore Industries and the Military....

Important Equipment Information:

Your diving instructor is usually the first source / introduction to equipment you will have and you would be right to seek their advice but be careful NOT to buy dive equipment on impulse or purely on price as this could prove fatal...

Diving Regulators or DV's (Demand Valves) are very important and you should take advice based on the style of diving you plan to do most of... For Example if you live in a cold Country but only ever plan to dive in warm water on vacation, then you could buy a normal Sports Regulator from most manufactures and it would be fine...

However if you ever plan to dive in Cold Water you MAY NOT USE THE SAME REGULATOR for risk of failure. If you buy a more expensive sealed unit suitable for Cold water diver you can also use it for warm water.

BCD's or Buoyancy Jackets are another area where you will need to take specialist advice based on your planned diving style, many Low Cost BC's have very poor performance for lift even at quite shallow depths... DO NOT LET THE COST DECIDE FOR YOU!  Diving equipment is "LIFE SUPPORT", and it is NOT Worth spending less than you need to, to be safe and "Comfortable".

Example if you are looking to progress sometime in the future to technical diving, you should look for a technical style BCD, it may save you more money in the future.

Wetsuits / Environmental Protection

Buy only good quality, NOT Low Cost! As cheap wet suits and dry suits will be guaranteed for only one purpose - NOT TO LAST VERY LONG!  Buy quality not price as a good suit should last you many years of pleasure...
