Dive Medic
IHMP Dive Medic is a unique training program as it
covers basic physiology and anatomy explain body functions using medical
terms and is aimed at and focused on "Diving Accidents", General First
relating to diving and Signs, Symptoms and first response care and
emergency treatment...
   
IHMP Specialise in the area of Sports Injures and the Diving Industry
with in depth training programs, designed to offer the student a
foundation in primary and emergency care and support.Dive Medic is for anyone who is involved in diving activities, not just divers or instructors, but standby staff, shop staff and anyone who may possibly witness a diving accident. i.e. Friends and family of divers, especially non diving partners. The Dive Medic Program has no minimum entry level requirements but a CPR Course or experience would be useful but not mandatory as full CPR Training is included in the program. Also included: Risk assessments and risk management, Dive Accident Prevention, How accidents may occur, PFO's, contra conditions, and first response first aid and primary care, plus Oxygen administration and basic AED use. We have trained lay people and medically trained personnel in this program and everyone has got value for money... Just a one day program designed for 6 to 8 people with one (1) IHMP Instructor and one (1) Assistant. Costs vary from region to region and will be based on local expenses... The Dive Medic Certification is now valid for two years. The refresher program is just half a day...
